liam singer

liam singer is a multi-instrumentalist currently residing in san
francisco. his debut solo album, the empty heart of the chameleon,
was released in 2004. comprised of solo piano pieces with
intermittent voice and theremin, the album garnered comparisons to
such diverse artists as elliot smith, john adams, and rachel's.
liam's newest album, our secret lies beneath the creek, will be
available from tell-all in june. it was recorded by engineer scott
solter over eight days in december and january. The SF Bay Guardian
has called it "...a stunning, multifaceted departure from the spare
but elegant piano compostions of his debut... His second endeavor
retains his sensitive and engaging lyrics but adds a rich layering of
both organic and electric sounds."
aside from preparing his new album, liam has spent the last year on
such projects as recording the note "F" for tell-all's "twelve"
series, and providing the music for san francisco's monthly "GO"
collaboration. his plans for the next year involve more collaboration
with other musicians and visual artists.
